Teen Read Week

This week is Teen Read Week, a national celebration of teens reading just for the fun of it. The 2008 theme is Books with Bite @ your library and you’ve still got a few days left to exercise your right to read for fun. Oh wait a minute…that’s right…you can do that 24-7-365. Well….it’s a good excuse anyway.

Here’s something that you can’t do any ol' day of the year:

You've only got until midnight on Saturday, October 18, 2008 to vote for the Teens' Top Ten, a teens' choice list of favorite books from the previous year.

Is it Glass, by Ellen Hopkins? Unwind, by Neal Shusterman? The Sweet Far Thing, by Libba Bray?

Click here to vote for up to three titles or take a look at www.ala.org/teenstopten .

Check out the Top Ten lists from previous years as long as you’re there!

And while you’re at it, doing your teen reader civic duty, make sure you cast your vote for next year’s Teen Read Week theme:

Seek the Unknown @ your library

Read Beyond Reality @ your library

Unbelievable Reads @ your library
