The easiest way to read

I'm a multitasker, which makes listening to books perfect for me. Why just clean, work out, ride the bus, or go for a walk when you could do all those things and read a book? Well, now listening to books is even better, because it's easier, and I'm all about convenience.

Cutting to the chase: the library now loans devices called Playaways, which are little MP3 players pre-loaded with a book. You provide the AAA battery & headphones and you're set. No one will even know you're reading, because the tiny MP3 player is about the size of an iPod shuffle and fits nicely in your pocket.

I just finished listening to Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta, a funny and sad, made-me-cry kind of book about a girl dealing with a new school and a majorly depressed mother. I highly recommend it.

When you are looking for books in our catalog and you see something that says [audiobook & player], that's a Playaway. Try it!
