Troy High

Troy High by Shana Norris

Cassie lives in the shadow of her brothers, Hunter and Perry at Troy High. They are popular and she is tolerated. Her best, and only friend, Greg, goes to a rival Lacede High. Cassies's world completely changes when the beautiful Elena is forced to transfer to Troy from Lacede due to school district rezoning.

Elena makes a friend in Cassie since they have been acquaintances for years as Elena was dating Greg's brother Lucas. Things get tricky when Elena takes an interest in Perry and forces Cassie help her win over Perry. This change in boyfriends only intensifies the rivalry between the Trojans and the Spartans during the football season. Lucas is convinced Perry "stole" Elena from him. An all out prank war breaks out that leaves Cassie having to choose between family and her best friend.

This was a cute and fun retelling of The Iliad. The story is told from the point of view of the "seer." I really enjoyed the story and it was easy to see the original story in the book, right down to the Trojan Horse.
