Michael Cera: one-note actor or comic genius?

We here at the Read.Watch.Listen. offices have been debating Michael Cera. Adored him in Arrested Development. Loved him Juno. Liked him in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and then it just all kind of fell apart. Is it just us, or does he play the same role in everything?

You've no doubt seen the previews for his latest movie, Youth in Revolt. If the story sounds good but you just can't see another movie in which Michael Cera plays Michael Cera, check out the book from your local library.

But then just when we've decided we're so over Michael Cera, he spends time hanging out with the Jersey Shore kids, and...he's back in our hearts. Watch this for the hair if nothing else.

P.S. - Did you know he does the voice for The Berenstain Bears DVDs? We didn't!

Yes, Michael Cera has been playing the same roles and such, and it's really getting old. But when I saw his bad side character in Youth In Revolt I thought "Wow! This has potential!" Hopefully in the future he will start picking different roles and we will see a whole new side of him.
