Spine Poetry

It's Teen Poetry Month! Have you submitted your poem to our contest yet? Ok, maybe sitting down and writing out poetry is difficult for you (like it is for me), but here's something anyone can do. Go to the bookshelves in your house/school/public library, and check out the titles on the spine. Which can go together to form a poem? Look at the photo below; see how the titles work together to make this poem?

Every Girl Tells a Story
Just listen,
Word after word after word
My sisters' voices,
Nothing but the truth.
Wild girl
Outspoken
Tender
The courage to be yourself
Things left unsaid
I hadn't meant to tell you this
Nevermind
Her stories

Try it! And if you can, snap a pic and send it to fresnoya2@gmail.com. We'll add it to our poetry page.
