Real Live Boyfriends

Every Friday we review a new book and give a copy of the book away. To get the book, it's simple: just be the first to fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Real Live Boyfriends*: Yes, boyfriends, plural. If my life weren't complicated - I wouldn't be Ruby Oliver by E. Lockhart

Oh Ruby Oliver! How I’ve missed you. I was so happy when Real Life Boyfriends landed on my desk before Christmas. I was a little nervous to read this (final?) book since I loved The Treasure Map of Boys.

Roo is now a senior in high school and in love with Noel. Or at least she thinks she is, but he doesn’t seem to be calling her back - and he seems to be acting weird every since he got back from New York. If that wasn’t enough, her grandmother dies, her mother seems hell-bent on cooking every animal she can get her hands on and her dad is only eating Cheetos. To make matters even worse, Hutch is in Paris and long time crush Gideon shows up shirtless. Roo has to figure out how to deal with all of this while trying to put together her college applications and hopes that all of the above won’t cause her to have a panic attack.

Real Life Boyfriends was a perfect ending to the Ruby Oliver series. I really want to go back and read all four books in the series so I can experience Roo’s growth all over again. Go. Read. You will not be disappointed.

Congrats to Dyann for being the first to claim the book!
