Volunteer at the Library This Summer!

Thinking about volunteering this summer? Why not consider volunteering at the Fresno County Public Library! There are lots of different ways you can get involved, such as being a homework tutor, joining or forming a teen council or helping out with family events. Volunteering is a great way to make a difference in your community and gain some real-world experience that will also look great on your work and school resumes. Call Literacy Services at (559) 600-9240 for more information.

Hi do you hire paid tutors? Also is the volunteering year round and how can one apply to work at the library (not as a tutor)?

Hi Maram,

We don't normally hire paid tutors, unless they are hired through Fresno County as an employee. If you are interested in getting a job at the library, you can look at Fresno County's website for job listings at http://www.co.fresno.ca.us/ Look for the Employment Opportunities side tab. You'll have to create an account to fill out a job application. Good luck!
