The Mindful Teen: Powerful Skills to Help You Handle Stress One Moment at a Time, by Dr. Dzung X. Vo, who works with directly with teens dealing with stress. In it he teaches you exercises and tools to help you recognize what is causing you stress and take time for yourself to de-stress. When you are less stressed, you do better in all aspects of life! What a great way to start the New Year!

Did you know that your library may have a homework center shelf, filled with books to help you do better in school? Contact your local library to check it out! We also have some great online resources just in case those books aren’t on the shelf. Check out our online Homework Center!

- Fridays and Saturdays @ 3:30-5pm
- Wednesdays @ 4-6pm
- Mondays and Wednesdays @ 3:30-4:30pm
- Saturdays @ 10-2pm and Sundays @ 12-2pm
Need some volunteer hours for school? If you are 13 or older, you can volunteer at the library! There are several opportunities, including helping out with crafts and programs, shelving books, tutoring, and more! Visit our website to learn how you can help out at your local library.
Also, check out our Teen Councils. Your word counts, and we want to hear from you! Is there a fun craft you want to see done at your library, or do you wish you had a say in what the library plans for people your age? Contact your local library to see when the next Teen Council meeting will be.
