PRIDE AND PREJUDICE is defiantly one of the best novels I've read, but if you really want to see a great film adaptation of the story, you should opt for the 1995 version starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. It's rather lengthy if you watch it all at once, but it is a lot closer to the original story. It's in six parts and was originally aired as a television series on BBC.
