Undone by Brooke Taylor

When Serena happens upon Kori smoking in the girls' bathroom at school, Kori utters the words that will haunt Serena for the next two years: "We're more alike than you think". They soon become best friends, but still Serena searches for a part of herself that is anything like the brave and outspoken Kori. Then something terrible happens and Serena looks for meaning in Kori's fateful words. In her quest to finish what Kori started, Serena learns more about herself than she expected--including the mysterious connection the two friends share.

This is a fast-paced read about real girls: they fight with their parents, give themselves ink tattoos, and sneak out at night. They are fierce in their care for one another. And when reading it you can't help but wonder: if something happened to me, what things would I leave undone?
