Amy has just left rehab and now must face the painfully reality that her best friend is dead. Amy blames herself for her death, and some of her classmates agree. Amy is now a junior and must deal with parents who are actually paying attention to her (after ignoring her for years), honors classes, being a social outcast, living life without drinking and Patrick, who unnerves her as she is trying not to think about him. Scott does a great job of capturing Amy's emotions and you can feel the awkwardness between Amy and her parents.
This is the third book I've read by Scott this year and I am becoming a fan!
