Free Fridays: The Ghost and the Goth

Every Friday we review a new book and give a copy of the book away. To get the book, it's simple: just be the first to comment on the review and be sure to tell us which library you'd like to pick up your new book at. We'll take care of the rest!

The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade

Alona Dare was the most popular girl at her school. She was homecoming queen and co-head cheerleader and now she’s dead.

Not only is Alona dead, but she seems to be stuck in the living world as a spirit and that “bright light” doesn’t seem to be coming for her. And to make matters even worse, the only person who can see and help her is Will Kilian, a total loser who hates the social elite at school. Will has a “special” ability that allows him to see, hear and touch the dead and the last thing he wants to do is help a mean girl, even if she’s Alona Dare.

Alona isn’t use to needing anyone for anything, and now she has to trust the school’s social leper with all her dark secrets and tell him what really happened the day she died? Pass. Will on the other hand is just hanging on by a thread and trying to make it to graduation without any more “incidents” that could get him locked up in the psych ward. Like it or not, they need each other and worse still, they kind of have the hots for each other. Can they get over their mutual distrust in order to save each other?
