Duff by Kody Keplinger

Seventeen-year-old Bianca Pepper isn't the prettiest of her friends. She's also not the nicest or the most forthcoming. She's way too smart to fall for the smarmy ways of the hot Wesley Rush. In fact she hates him for calling her "DUFF," meaning "Designated Ugly Fat Friend" and responds by throwing her Cherry Coke in his face.

But things are bad at home. Her mom is gone almost all the time and her dad seems to be in denial about why she's really gone. Bianca can't really deal with it all, so when Wesley comes back for round two, she ends up kissing him. They are both shocked, but no one more than Bianca who liked it. A lot. Instead of dealing with her home life, Bianca decides that Wesley is the perfect distraction and proposes an enemies-with-benefits relationship with Wesley.

But along the way something happens; Bianca finds herself actually caring for Wesley and turning to him for advice more and more. She may even be falling in love with him, but can the DUFF and the hot guy get together?
