Ok, I read the first
Lauren Conrad book,
L.A. Candy -- and I honestly did enjoy it. Then came
Hilary Duff's book,
Elixir. Supernatural's not my thing, but at least it has a pretty cover. But now we have Jersey Shore's Snooki writing a book called
A Shore Thing, based on her experiences at the Jersey Shore. What do you think? Will you read it? I'd love to hear from anyone who has read it (so that I don't have to!).

I don't know why? Maybe it's because I'm an aspiring novelist. But it pisses me off that all these idiot celebs can suposedly write books and just sell the hell out of them. They aren't even writing the whole thing. They use ghost writers to help. Grr...they just make it look like any bonehead can do it!
As an aspiring novelist, sometimes it's comforting to think that if people like George Bush, Sarah Palin, the cast of Jersey Shore (and other idiot celebs) and Stephenie Meyer can write a book, maybe I can too. It can be a little frustrating, especially when it's obvious that the celebrity or public figure didn't put too much effort into the book, like many writers do.
These kind of books, "written" by celebs, will come and go...but well-written books have longevity. Please don't be discouraged and continue to write!
